Mary Beth Hasty is the founder and principal attorney of Hasty Legal, a solo law firm focused on trademark law.

Before founding Hasty Legal, Mary Beth practiced in the Trademark and Brand Management Group of an Am Law 100 firm, where she advised businesses on U.S. and international trademark prosecution, portfolio management, enforcement, licensing, and disputes. She regularly coordinated with in-house counsel, foreign associates, and international law firms regarding trademark filings, prosecution, and brand protection strategy in the United States and abroad.

Mary Beth also served as a Trademark Examining Attorney at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. In that role, she examined federal trademark applications and addressed issues involving likelihood of confusion, descriptiveness, acquired distinctiveness, ownership, use in commerce, functionality, and ornamentation.

Her private-practice experience also includes work at a Miami intellectual property boutique. Throughout her practice, Mary Beth has handled trademark prosecution, proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, domain-name disputes, copyright matters, licensing, and intellectual property enforcement.

Mary Beth earned her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Florida, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
